DAA Presents:

March 7th, 2019

AGENDA

what is it?

The Career Conference at DAA is a special event for 10th grade students to explore different career options. Students will get the opportunity to listen to and interact with people involved in various career fields, and make a preliminary evaluation on their future aspirations and career paths. The event also intends to help students choose what subjects to take in the future in order to pursue this.

This year's theme is “Discover Your Passions - Turn it into Your Career." Explore different fields; maybe your dream job will no longer be the same as you get older. Try to listen to a nice variety of speakers so it can open up your horizons, and remember that you don’t have to choose your job right at this moment. High School is all about exploring your options.

This is a day that will allow you to explore your career options, so don’t be afraid to ask questions! The speakers will be more than happy to answer them, so try and make a list of questions beforehand that you might want to ask.

Dress code
Clothing can be a defining factor when being accepted for a job, so for DAACC think business casual - it’s like going out for a nice family dinner.
Girls, if you wish to wear a skirt be aware of how short a skirt should be. It should be leaning towards the more conservative side, perhaps knee length or longer. Recommended hairstyles would be a nice bun, high ponytail, nicely brushed hair, anything that lets the speakers see your face. Makeup should be subtle and fitting for this occasion. Guys, wear a nice pair of slacks and a nice shirt. A decently combed hairdo should do good for you.
Wear a nice pair of shoes, we don’t want to see any converse or sneakers in the crowd. That does not say professional.
